The Baird Family | Hendersonville TN Family Photographer

My session with the Baird family has been in the works for months. I photographed "A" almost 9 months ago for his newborn session. His mom is my sweet neighbor and friend, and she told me that they needed family pictures but really dreaded them. I promised her that we'd have fun, and that I wouldn't stick them in awful poses and force them to smile.

Now their family is leaving us and moving to Florida. We had to make sure to get some family pictures before they left. We decided to have our session around our neighborhood since it holds so many memories for their family. There is the most amazing field right in front of our neighborhood, and I've been dying to get out there. It was the perfect location for our session. Unfortunately, dad has already started his new job, so he couldn't join us. I'm hoping these will be a little treat for him.

B Family, you have been wonderful neighbors, and you are going to be very missed on our street. I know you will make a wonderful life in Florida, and I wish you all the best! Thanks for letting me be a little part of your memories from Tennessee.

The Lee Extended Family Session | Hendersonville TN Family Photographer

When Gabby contacted me about doing an extended family session with her husband, parents, and sister, I starting thinking of ideas for their session. I wanted our session to look natural and stick with my goal of not too much posing. Well, they made it so easy on me! To say it was hot and muggy is an understatement, but they just smiled and laughed the whole time. They were so much fun to watch and photograph, and I think it shows in their pictures!

The Other End of the Lens

A few weeks ago, we had a much needed family session with a local photographer and new friend of mine, Karen Halbert. My husband actually discovered her work at a customer's office. As soon as I saw her work, I knew that I NEEDED her to take our pictures! I warned her that I have 2 wild boys, and she was up for the challenge. I think she did a wonderful job, and I can't wait to display them all in my home. Here are some sneaks that she gave me to share. You can see more pictures and the sweet things she said on the full blog post on her website by clicking here.

The Stentz Family | Hendersonville TN Baby and Child Photographer

After a few months of working our schedules out, I finally got to meet up with the Stentz family. They are originally from Memphis too, and now we live just a few minutes from each other. It was one of the hottest mornings I've had for a session, but the boys were such troopers. Baby brother did lots of "smirking" for us, which I think turned out so cute. Thanks for bearing through the heat with me!

Willis Family 1 Year Session | Nashville TN Baby Photographer

The Willis Family traveled all the way from Memphis to Nashville for their 1 year old session. To say I was thrilled was an understatement. I get so excited to have my Memphis clients on my new home turf! When A's mom texted me that they were there and it was beautiful, I knew I picked the right spot. I am just loving this session, and I hope these were worth the drive! Thanks Willis Family, it has been a wonderful year!

The Davis Family Newborn Session | White House TN Newborn Photographer

Beautiful baby "R" was 4 days old for our session and officially my youngest newborn. His Mommy warned me that he had a pretty good set of lungs, but he was so sleepy during our session that I barely heard a peep. Congrats on your new addition Davis Family, I can't wait to watch him grow this year!

Vendor Spotlight: Poppy's Custom Frames | Nashville TN Photographer

A few months ago, one of my clients in Memphis contacted me about frames that her father had started building. I couldn't wait to check them out and quickly fell in love with his frames. Each frame is custom built with attention to detail. I was amazed by the quality of the frames when I saw them in person. Poppy's Custom Frames will work with you to design the perfect frame.

I have visions of these all throughout my house and couldn't resist sharing. Please check out their website and facebook page. Let them know I sent you.

The Barnes Family | Nashville TN Family and Baby Photographer

We were a little worried that we were going to get rained out from this session, but luckily we dodged the storm clouds long enough to get some smiles out of this little man. Ohhh, I just love those big brown eyes!

E's 1 Year Session | Hendersonville TN Baby Photographer

One of the hardest things about balancing being a stay at home mom and a photographer is working from home. I can't complain because they are the most perfect jobs I could ask for, but it's also hard to stay away from work when I have tons to do in the very next room from me. Long story short, I promised not to do any work this weekend and spend every moment with my family having fun. However, since everyone in my house crashed before me tonight, I had to sneak into my office for one little sneak from "E's" 1 year session. More to come soon.
