The Lee Family | Nashville TN Family Photographer

I met up with Gabby, her husband, and her parent last year. This year it was his parents' turn. They were in town for the weekend, so we couldn't reschedule, and there was a chance of rain that afternoon. So of course it rained! Luckily, we dodged it long enough for our session!

Walker's 3 Year Old Session | Hendersonville TN Child Photographer

So... Mr. Walker had way more things in mind to do at the park other than taking pictures. He wanted to check out the trains, run and play, and basically avoid anything having to do with the camera. He had soooo much to say and made me laugh a gazillion times. I have to admit though, I questioned how successful this session would be (for a teeny, tiny second, I promise!) Then, I don't know how I did it, but I snuck off with that little guy and worked some kind of magic! After that, he was all smiles and giggles. I am loving this session from the colors to the perfectly coordinated outfits, everything turned out great. It didn't quite feel like spring that day, but it sure looks like it!

Mom brought along pinwheels from W's 3rd birthday party. They were so cute, and I'm so glad that she thought to include them in our session!

The Murdock Family - 1 Year Session | Hendersonville TN Baby and Family Photographer

The Murdocks and I have really bad luck with sessions and rain. We've had to reschedule 2 sessions because of rain, and this session even had rain in the forecast. Luckily, it held off and was rather warm for February. I'm so glad we had to wait a few weeks, because it gave Miss K time to learn how to do this...

Oh my goodness, she is too cute! She was in such a good mood.

The Bynum Family 6 Month Session | Hendersonville TN Baby Photographer

This sweet boy is as giggly and happy as can be. He had me cracking up at our session with his precious squeals. I LOVE photographing 6 month olds. It's the best age ever. We caught some really sweet family moments this time that I love. I can't wait to meet back up with you in the spring B Family!

Cousins | Hendersonville TN Family Photographer

P is one of my little man's pals at school. She is the cutest thing ever, and I was so happy when her mommy asked me to take her 3 year old pictures. Her cousins ended up being in town the weekend of our session, so we combined it with a cousin session. It was so much fun! They were so full of personality and the happiest, most cooperative group of 5 kids I can imagine.

2012 Goals | Hendersonville TN Family Photographer

I love when a new year rolls around. Since I've been in business, I spend the first month of the year making plans and goals for SPP. I thought I'd share a few of them.
1. Rebrand - new logo, marketing materials, etc. I want everything to be fresh and streamlined.
2. Learn Wordpress - Wordpress is by far the best way for photographers to blog. I get overwhelmed thinking about completely switching over my blog, leaving this blog, and learning a new one, but it's time. As soon as the rebranding is finished, the new blog will be revealed.
3. Start offering in person ordering sessions. - The hardest part about having a home office is that no one gets to see my great products. I'd love to start offering these to help my clients plan how to really make the most of their portraits.
4. Buy some new gear, attend a workshop, and save money to attend WPPI in Las Vegas for 2013.
5. Stick to real working hours - like no more replying to emails at 11pm just because. I think I can, I think I can... :)

And since a post isn't any fun without a picture... This was one of my warm day sessions that I couldn't post until after Christmas. I can't wait for it to warm up and start spring sessions!

The Dortch Family 1 Year Session | Nashville TN Baby and Child Photographer

I can't believe this little guy is 1 already! He was one of my very first First Moments babies in Nashville. It's hard to believe that I've been here long enough to have a baby graduate from a First Moments package. It has been an awesome year though, and I am so thankful to them and all of my families for trusting me with their babies' portraits. Thanks for a great year, D Family!

I had to include this one. It was soooo windy the day of our session, and it looks like they are on a wild ride here!

We've been trying to get this session in since October. Luckily, it finally worked out, and it was soooooo worth the wait!

The youngest ones weren't too sure about pictures, but a few minutes of playing and they warmed right up. These guys are definitely picture perfect.

I cannot believe it is time for this sweet guy's first birthday. Technically, we didn't have a whole year since he started his First Moment's package at 3 months, and I am so sad it's already over. I just adore this family, so I'm hoping they get started on baby #3 asap so that we can have more photo sessions in the future :)
