So first of all, Pete wins major husband points for getting his wife a photo session for Valentine's Day. I mean, how awesome of a gift is that??? Second off, these 2 together are awesome. They were so much fun and so easy going. It was FREEZING, literally, the day of our session, and you would never know it. It's been a while since I've photographed just a couple and no kids, and I have to admit, it was sooo nice! I love kids, but I also love seeing people IN love, and I'm really glad that they trusted me to document their love story.

The Lee Extended Family Session | Hendersonville TN Family Photographer

When Gabby contacted me about doing an extended family session with her husband, parents, and sister, I starting thinking of ideas for their session. I wanted our session to look natural and stick with my goal of not too much posing. Well, they made it so easy on me! To say it was hot and muggy is an understatement, but they just smiled and laughed the whole time. They were so much fun to watch and photograph, and I think it shows in their pictures!

I was in such a rush to get my April Mini Session sneak peeks up, that I didn't have a chance to share these. Since I don't do weddings, I rarely get a chance to photograph couples. My dear friend Lesly and her husband needed some updated pictures together when I did their family session, so I had fun with their couples pictures. They are so cute and have such a gorgeous family, I just love photographing them. Lesly, I don't think you know how much I miss you, but it's TONS!

I always get excited when someone emails me to schedule a session. Since we moved to Nashville, I get sad when I notice a Memphis area code. I know I'm going to have to explain that I moved, and that I can't schedule a session. So when Megan contacted me about coming to Nashville for a session with her family, I was really excited. We had the most beautiful fall morning and found bright fall leaves, which made for the perfect session.

The Shelton Family - Middle Tennessee Photographer

I have been loving finding and photographing all new locations, but I was a little nervous for this one. Brandi and I used to teach together, and I've been photographing her little one since she was about 4 months old. She used to drive to Memphis, but now that I'm in Nashville, we had to find a location to meet in the middle. The best place I could think to find was a park in between us. So, I looked up parks online, found a good spot in the middle, and set a location with only seeing a few pictures.

We really had no idea what to expect, so you can imagine how excited I was when we got there. We found a fabulous little spot with a creek, where I could have stayed all day. On top of that, we had a pretty ambitious schedule including several outfit changes, props, locations, etc. I'm so glad that Miss P was such a cooperative girl!

Matt & Kaylani

This was my last session with my favorite couple! Kaylani and I decided months ago to do her bridal session after her wedding and reception. Since I only photographed their reception, we didn't have too much time for pictures, so we decided to include Matt for these. I think it's a great idea. I know I don't have any wedding pictures all by myself in my house. So it was nice to devote extra time for couple pictures.

Let me say, Matt and Kaylani were AMAZING sports. It was sooooo hot the morning of our session, and poor Matt had to wear his jacket. I'm surprised he didn't get mad at me, since I laughed everytime he put it on. I was really only laughing because I felt so bad for him. But even in 100+ degree temperatures, they looked amazing. I have enjoyed working with you guys so much, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
