This was my first on-location session in Nashville, and I've been dying to post it! There are so many amazing locations around the Nashville area. What's even better is that they are ALL new to me, and I am so excited to try them out!
This family was so great and supportive, and I can't forget to mention that they have an absolute doll for a 2 year old. An adorable girl with beautiful curls, a sweet family, and a new location, it can't get much better than this!

The Jones Family
Watching my clients' children grow and change from session to session has become one of my favorite things about being a photographer. Last year, I photographed this cutie with her mom for a surprise Christmas present for her daddy. She was so shy and absolutely in love with her binky and teddy bear. This time, she was just as cute as ever but so bubbly and full of personality. Her daddy joined us for our session, and I had a great time with the 3 of them!

The Murrell Family
My mother in law recently moved to some beautiful land with an awesome barn on it. I've been dying to get out there and take some pictures of the boys, but I just never get around to it. This family travels from Arkansas, and when we were planning a good location for a baby, this spot came into mind. They were all for it, so I was obviously excited. Again, I had a mom bring tons of items to incorporate, which I love. I think it really captured them perfectly.
Isn't he the most beautiful thing EVER?
A session I will be working on soon...
Jennifer, I haven't gotten to your session yet, but here's a picture to hold you over until then. Just because you travel so far to come see me, and I love you for it!

A favorite I missed
I'm up waaaaay too late editing, but as I was finishing up for the night, I found a favorite that I missed when I made my blog selections. I'm not quite sure what I love about it, but I really love it. I'm thinking I left it off because of the basket/box. I spent about 2 weeks after the move without my photography props and had to make a Hobby Lobby run for some new stuff. So I used this for a few sessions. Anyway, here it is... I've been loving fields lately. Probably because it's been so hot that the grass has been dried up and brown, and fields seem much more appealing!
I don't really like black and white pictures in fields, but there are always pictures that I know will look better in black and white. I thought this one would be great with less color. So this has been my black and white version for field pictures.

The Herlong Family - 6 Month Session
This is my 2nd time photographing this little guy, and I've started looking forward to what his mom will bring for each session. I love including family items, anything meaningful, or just something cute that my clients bring. This time mom had her chair from when she was little, a cute bucket, his initial in wooden letters, and of course his Tonka truck. I loved finding ways to use it all, and can't wait to see what she comes up with for our next session!
Every session, we photograph him in his Tonka truck. For our last session, he cried, but I caught a crying shot that kind of looked like he was smiling. This time, I figured, I might as well show what he really did each time we tried the truck. We ended up with better ones with him sitting by it. I figured, he'd probably be pushing it next time, so we might as well mark his growth with his milestones too!

The Norton Family
The last time I met up with this family, their little one was just a few days old and very sleepy. This time, she was alert as could be and all smiles. Her 4 month session was scheduled for the first weekend that I traveled back to Memphis after moving. We were a little worried because her session was right before her nap time, and mom was worried that she'd be getting fussy. So, we had a plan B and plan C. Luckily, she was one of my most cooperative 4 month olds, and everything worked smoothly and perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better session!

Olivia's 1 Year Session
My poor man, Lawson, is sick with bronchyitis. Not sure of the spelling, it's not bronchitis. There's an "e" sound in there somewhere. He has to have breathing treatments, and it is not a fun time! Of course this comes when I think I'm about to catch up on blogging! That's live with kiddos though :) I put Miss Olivia's teaser up because I didn't think I'd have time today to post her sneaks, but Lawson is tuckered out and taking an extra long nap. That leaves time for blogging!
Olivia is extra special to me, because she was my first official newborn session. I have had such a great time watching her grow throughout the year. At the time of our session, we didn't think she was being too smiley, but after editing her pictures, I have no idea what we were worried about! I have tons of smiles. My favorites from this session are the sweet family ones. Enjoy!
