Ok, so I wasn't quite sure how this session was going to turn out. We had an evening session scheduled, and on my way to her house Olivia's mom told me that she hadn't napped all day. Meanwhile as I drive, I'm watching a huge storm cloud following me, and it's getting darker by the minute. By the time I got to her house, it looked like we only had minutes before it started raining.
But, Miss Olivia did fabulous, she didn't mind the rain, and I think this is my favorite session of hers yet!

The Limbaugh Sisters
I am absolutely. totally. completely. in love with these two girls. Seriously. Ashley, look out! I just may have to steal them from you :)
Really, I feel bad for my poor husband who had to sit by me while I edited these pictures. I think he was considering leaving the room so that I didn't make him look at any more pictures!

The Collins Family
This was my second large family session in a row, and it went very well too! However, I have to say... I think I'm banning sunglasses from all of my sessions from now on! I can't tell you how many great pictures I got, and then realized that someone had sunglasses on. I guess when you have a family of 3 or 4, it's easy to notice them, but in a large group I simply forgot! Needless to say, we had a great time and got some great pics too!
By the way, this session has been a long time in the making. Mom got this as a gift certificate for Christmas, and we had to wait until now to get all of the family in town. I hope it was worth the wait!

The Harmon Family
I teach with this Mom, and we've been planning a family session for months. Her sister lives out of state, and they were wanting family pictures with both sisters and all the grandkids. They thought it may be crazy with so many kids, but I thought it went very well! I think that's the benefit of having a photographer who's also a teacher. I'm used to 20 kids at one time, so 5 kids is nothing!
We did some traditional family pictures, but I made sure to squeeze in my fun, unposed photos which are always my favorites .
Silly grandkids!!!

The Herlong Family
I say it everytime, but 3/4 month old sessions are the trickiest. They don't sleep like newborns, they don't play like sitting babies, and they have a very small window of happy photo shooting time. This little guy was all smiles when I got to his house, so I thought we had a good amount of time. I was wrong! He was ready to call it quits much quicker than I thought. But I have to admit, I think we did pretty good. 3 outfit changes, scenery changes, one very uncomfortable dump truck, and some sneaky smiles later, and I think mom and dad have some framers :)
My absolute favorites from this session are the sweet family pictures.
Enjoy!

Happy 4th of July!!!
I know, I know, I'm a few days behind! I hope everyone had as great of a 4th as I did! More from this session coming soon...
